Citibank

I recently sent my monthly payment to Citibank with plenty of time for it to arrive by the due date. I bank on-line so the funds are automatically transferred to Citibank. The payment was due by the 13th of September. I called on the 11th and 12th and they claimed that they had not received my payment. Now my payment would be late. I called my bank and verified that the payment had indeed gone to Citibank, and it did. My banker conferenced me and Citibank on the phone and they said that they would research why it wasn't posted to my account. They told me that sometimes payments get posted to the wrong account! The WRONG ACCOUNT???!!! Within a day I found that Citibank had in fact received my payment on September 10th and the posted it as of that date. When I followed up on their investigation all that they could tell me was that it was resolved.

****Take this as a warning. Citibank is a large company that does not know how to handleaccounts or customers. YOU must be persistent in keeping track of your accounts. Just becasuse you send your payments to the correct place and on time, does not mean that once it is received that they will handle it properly.******

Citibank is the worst company that I have done business with and I would caution anyone thinking about doing business with them to think twice before they enter into an agreement with such a company.

Robbing From the Poor to make the Rich Richer

As I am sure many of you reading this blog will understand the credit card business is a multi billion dollar a year racket. The two top officers for Citibank each made 10.67 Milion dollars this year and that is not including the stock options that they exercised. Now how did their salary get to be so large? You guessed it, from the profits that they are making from the outrageous interest that they charge to their credit card customers. Does this seem fair when the majority of the nation is struggling and we are paying for these men to live a life beyond any of our wildest imaginations? The debt that you have is comprised of legitimate purchases and then compounding monthly interest that these companies charge. Did you know that now it is legal for credit card companies to increase your interest rate based upon the fact that you may have paid your phone bill late?! That's correct! The government has now allowed credit card companies to review how your other accounts are managed and even though you may have been paying on time to them they will still increase your interest. We need to speak out about this disgrace and get everyone back on equal footing.
